SINGAPORE, 22  AUGUST 2024 – The Singapore Sports Hub is excited to announce a vibrant and diverse lineup of events for the second half of 2024. From premier sporting events like the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024 to the biggest Asian acts including the first-ever Indian concert at the National Stadium by AR Rahman, K-pop idols Stray Kids taking centre stage inside the National Stadium for the first time, and multi-show concerts by Kings of Mandopop Jay Chou and Andy Lau. We will also welcome Dua Lipa who will kick off the Asia leg of her upcoming tour in Singapore, while Olivia Rodrigo will perform in Singapore as part of her first-ever run of shows in Asia. When race fever hits Singapore, experience the best of sport and entertainment at the inaugural Groovedriver Festival at the Sports Hub. This event, part of Grand Prix Season Singapore, promises live entertainment and interactive experiences across the precinct. 

This exciting lineup emphasises the Sports Hub’s dedication to providing a diverse array of events that resonate with patrons across the region. Earlier this year, fans and the community were out in force at athletic events including Singapore Smash, HSBC SVNS Singapore, fitness race Hyrox, and at concerts by the biggest names in the music industry Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars.

AR Rahman


AR Rahman – 31 August 2024: This event marks the first-ever Indian concert at the National Stadium. AR Rahman, renowned for his iconic music, returns to Singapore after a decade, promising an unforgettable evening filled with his legendary compositions. This concert not only celebrates Rahman’s global influence but also underscores Singapore’s vibrant cultural tapestry and its role as a hub for diverse musical events. FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024 – 12 to 15 September 2024: This prestigious basketball tournament at the Singapore Sports Hub will showcase six teams representing six continents, promising an exhilarating global competition. Adding to the excitement, Singapore will host the induction ceremony for the FIBA Hall of Fame Class of 2024 for the first time! 

That is not all, fans can also look forward to free entry to all matches on the first day, allowing increased access to world-class basketball and to meet the high demand for the sport in Singapore. More information can be found here.

Experiential Entertainment Feeds the Race Fever

GROOVEDRIVER FESTIVAL 2024


 Groovedriver Festival - 13 to 22 September 2024: The inaugural Groovedriver Festival presented by 8-Beat Collective and Singapore Sports Hub marks the first time an extensive line-up of programming for Grand Prix Season Singapore is put up at the Sports Hub. Across both ticketed and non-ticketed events, you can expect an exciting lineup of live music and entertainment by local and international artistes and DJs, to experiential F&B choices across three venues at the Sports Hub. One of the festival’s key features is the 8-Beat Beach Club, a pop-up always-on beach hangout at the Sports Hub Beach Volleyball Courts that brings together beach house music, food and drinks.
