The Sports Hub will be Singapore's premier land and sea sports, entertainment and lifestyle hub with integrated programming. A unique cluster development of integrated world-class sports facilities within the city, it will play a critical role in accelerating the development of sports industry, excellence and participation and take sports to the next level in Singapore.
The Sports Hub neatly captures all three components in one masterstroke. It will draw international events to its world-class facilities, and offer events management enterprises some of the largest potential crowds ever to assemble in Singapore. It will encourage large numbers of people to adopt and pursue sports and make sports part of their life. And it will offer exceptionally compelling opportunities for sports-related enterprises, federations, and organizations to bring their message to an enormous, interested audience.
The Sports Hub is well connected to the Mass Rapid Transit network (Stadium Station), major expressways and is only 15 minutes from the Singapore Changi International airport. From Day One, fans will have low-cost, hassle-free access to the Sports Hub.
Construction and management of this development are to be handled under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. Located on a 35ha site in Kallang, the Sports Hub will include the following facilities:
National Stadium
The National Stadium is a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility and will be the most compelling venue for large-scale sports and entertainment events in the region. The first of its kind in Asia, the stadium features a fully retractable domed roof and an innovative air-cooling system across all 55,000 seats to ensure spectator comfort. The configurable tiers provide optimum spectator viewing distances and allow for multi-sports use, including football, rugby, cricket, and other athletics events.

Indoor Stadium
The iconic Indoor Stadium has hosted a wide variety of sports and entertainment events, including Western and Asian superstars, family entertainment, award shows, sports matches and other large-scale events. It offers world-class technical facilities and a flexible configuration that scales for audiences from 4 to 13,000 spectators.

Sports Arenas
The Sports Arenas are comprised of two blocks of multi-purpose halls, accommodating a full range of activities from elite athlete training to public recreational use. The largest hall can host up to 3,000 spectators for indoor sporting events.

Aquatics Centre
The Aquatics Centre will play host to international and local aquatics events and offers a full range of aquatics facilities, built to international standards, for swimming, synchronised swimming, diving, and water polo. On non-event days, it will be open for use by elite athletes and the public. Also included is a water leisure area with learn-to-swim pools and a surf pool that will provide fun-filled water-based recreational activities.

Water Sports Centre
The 35ha Kallang Basin will be developed into a playground for water sports enthusiasts, accommodating canoeing, kayaking, rowing and dragon boat racing. A 500m course will be mapped out on the water and a 1km course is accessible from Marina Bay, as well. Both elite athletes and the public will be able to enjoy these water sports activities in this iconic setting.

Visitor Centre
The Visitor Centre is conveniently located outside the MRT station, opposite the retail mall, and provides a one-stop information centre for the Sports Hub. Visitors can book sports facilities, stadium tours and learn about sports at the library and sports museum.
Sports Promenade
The Sports Promenade is an extension of the Park Connectors that Singaporeans have come to enjoy. Featuring a 900m sports and recreational space around the National Stadium, this will be Singapore’s largest fully-sheltered civic space and will be open 24/7 to the public. The elevated platform provides views of the city and links the Sports Hub facilities and community areas.
Community Areas
The Community Areas are located along the Sports Promenade and on the waterfront providing a myriad of community sports activities, including a playground for toddlers, hard courts, skate park, lawn ball, giant chess set, rock climbing, and beach volleyball. Open from daily from 7am to 10pm, these areas provide leisure and community activities for all.
Retail & Waterfront
41,000sqm of exciting retail and food and beverage outlets await Sports Hub visitors. Easy access via public transport and ample parking will make the Sports Hub Retail & Waterfront offerings the new lifestyle centre of Singapore’s Eastern region. Facing the Kallang Basin and Greater Marina Bay, the Sports Hub Waterfront provides a great atmosphere for leisure and recreation. Visitors will enjoy a variety of indoor restaurants and alfresco cafes, strolling along the waterfront and enjoy the scenic views of the waterfront against the skyline of the city.
